Pace Sensory Development Program
Did you know that 1 out of 6 children in the U.S. have been diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental disorder such as Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism Spectrum, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, and A.D.H.D? By joining forces with Intersect4Kids, a program that combines optimum neurology, nutrition, neurointegrative exercises, and chiropractic, Pace Family Chiropractic now offers a sensory program with treatment options for kids that are suffering from these conditions!
Pace Sensory Development Program was created with the goal of helping families that are affected by neurodevelopmental disorders. Our focus is to naturally support the neuroimmune, neurogastric, neuromuscular and neurobiomechanical systems to allow maximum innate human expression. For instance, children with neurodevelopmental disorders have difficulty processing sensory input. ‘Visual tracking,’ the technical term for the natural ability of the eyes to follow an object in motion, may develop in an atypical pattern for children with a neurodevelopmental disorder. We use visual tracking to recognize faces, reading, writing and many other daily activities. Children with atypical visual tracking and processing can have trouble with academics, motor function or social behaviors.
I studied under Dr. Monika Buerger, the founder of Intersect4Kids, and our sensory development program is modeled after her work. She is recognized as the leader in her profession, having developed the most comprehensive neurodevelopmental program in the nation. Our program is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any neurodevelopmental disorders. We focus instead on naturally supporting the cooperative work of the body’s regulatory systems. I am committed to making a difference in the lives of kids affected and their families
I am offering Complimentary Workshops that help families learn about the signs, symptoms and characteristics of neurodevelopmental disorders and why so many more kids today are suffering from these conditions. If you are looking for natural options to help your child, don’t miss this opportunity to get more information. Alternative treatment options are available to help children with these disorders. Take advantage of what is available! Please contact the office to attend! Or click here to learn more about Intersect 4 Kids!

Chiropractic Testimonial
Wednesday April 10, 2013
Today I thought I would let someone else tell you about the benefits of chiropractic. Here is a testimonial from one of my patients that I think you will find interesting, and that some of you may be able to relate to:
“I came to Dr. Sarah because I was in pain most of the time. My lower back spasmed when I walked, and I had to stop regularly to bend over and stretch so that I could keep going. I didn’t even realize it until Dr. Sarah pointed it out, but I was bent over forward at the waist. I couldn’t even stand up straight! Plus, I kind of wobbled when I walked.
“Dr. Sarah x-rayed my spine and discovered that, first of all, one of my legs was shorter than the other (hence the wobbling). She gave me a lift for my shoe, and that cleared up. She showed me that my spine looked sort of like an upside down question mark (my words, not hers) and that it curved where it shouldn’t, and was straight where it should be curving. Let’s just say, I was not the model of spinal alignment. I thought I was a lost cause, but Dr. Sarah didn’t even flinch. She said, ‘with regular adjustment and a few different tractions, we will have you out of pain and standing up straight in no time.’
“And she was right!
“But that is not the end of the story. As I started on my program, I immediately saw results. I felt great. So guess what I did. I stopped going! I figured, “I feel good, so I don’t need to finish my course of treatment.” I am writing this to tell all of you who may be thinking the same way I did, that I WAS WRONG. My pain came back, and I was in the same boat again. And I am going to admit that I stupidly did the same thing more than once. And I had the same result each time.
“Dr. Sarah knows what she is talking about when she recommends a course of treatment, so take it from one who knows. You need to LISTEN TO HER. I have two friends who actually did what she said, and they have both been pain free and living happy lives for two straight years now.
“The motto of my story: Dr. Knows Best! Listen to her and follow her advice. She IS the best!”

Sinus and Allergy Problems
Are You Stuffed Up? Chiropractic Can Help!
You are probably thinking, what does having my spine adjusted have to do with my sinuses? It may seem like a stretch, but you’ll be surprised just how much relief can be found when your spine is properly aligned. By relieving stress on the nervous and structural systems, chiropractic care helps your body work more efficiently so that your immune system functions up to par. It also can help to ensure that your skull moves freely, allowing the fluids that need to drain do so properly.
If you are suffering from sinusitis, allergies, or other respiratory issues, please come in for a consultation. Traditional medicine will recommend that you flood your body with antihistamines or other medications that just cover up the symptoms, and may present side effects that can do damage to your body. Some medicines, like nasals sprays, are actually addictive, and can make the situation worse! Once you start, if you don’t use them, you can’t breathe without them! Who wants that???? Chiropractic offers an alternative that will result in health benefits beyond just your dripping nose! Your body will function at peak performance because your nervous system will be sending signals the way it should.
Until next time,

Here's Another Great Weight Loss Alternative
A friend of mine recently had super success with a program called Medifast. When I saw his before and after pictures, and saw his “numbers”- both weight loss and blood panels, I was blown away. In only three months, he made significant progress in not only improving his looks, but his health.
Medifast allows you to eat 6 times a day. They provide 5 of the meals, and you fill in with a sixth “lean and green,” consisting of protein and vegetables. It is a healthy, sensible way to manage your weight and your nutrition. Plus, they provide you a strong support system along the way.
If you are interested, I have information in my office, and I would be more than happy to share it. I have photos of my friend that you can look at too. I think you will be more than impressed, like I was. Losing weight is a real challenge for most people, so I am always looking for ways to help. Different programs help different people. This one may be the right one for you -- check it out.
Until next time,

Pregnant? You need Chiropractic Care!
You are probably thinking, “my aching back could use a break,” and you are right, between 50 and 75 percent of women do complain of low back pain during pregnancy, and chiropractic does significantly reduce their suffering. But that is not the only benefit of chiropractic care that pregnant women can experience.
Subluxations (which are misalignments that can occur with any one of the vertebrae of the spine or any of the bones of the pelvis, affecting the proper functioning of the nervous system) can wreak havoc on both mother and baby. Adjustments to properly align the spine affect many pregnancy related health issues. Take a look at how chiropractic positively impacts pregnancy:
- Less need for medication, which can harm mother and baby
- Reduced nausea
- Shortened labor
- Less need for caesarean section
- Reduced premature contractions
- Controlled premature delivery
- Reversed breach presentations
- Overall greater sense of well being
Chiropractic is safe for both mother and baby during pregnancy. I highly recommend you come in for a consultation – if you are in month 1 or month 9. I can make a difference in your pregnancy and delivery, and I want to help!
